The City of St. Marys has signed an agreement with Nixle, LLC. to use its public notification services to deliver important and timely information to residents via text/SMS, e-mail, and Internet posts to the City's website. The real-time notifications can range from emergency alerts to routine day-to-day information. Anyone may sign up below to receive the notifications.

The city of St. Marys has a cost-share program to assist individual property owners in making needed repairs to sidewalks located in medium-to-high pedestrian traffic areas, as determined by the City Commission. Here is a link to the city's program: http://www.smks.info/sidewalk.html
Storm season is almost here. The SMFD will begin the weekly testing of the storm sirens on each Monday at Noon - starting March 12th. However, the sirens will not be tested if the weather looks bad.
This is a reminder that there is a special city commission meeting tonight. The Tuesday, February 20th meeting was canceled due to the lack of a quorum. As a result, a special meeting was called for Tuesday, February 27th.
The back up for the city's website is about 6.1 gigabytes. Was having trouble copying the file to a 32 gig flash drive, only to learn that the flash drive had to be reformatted.
TriCounty Waste begins its residential pick up service on Tuesday, March 13th and Friday, March 16th. Residential customers should continue to place their trash in the same location that they are currently placing it.
