On 10/11/18 at approximately 5:30 am, the St. Marys Police Department responded to an active car burglary.
When the officer arrived only one of the suspects was present, and he fled on foot.
In this round of break-ins there were three suspects - two adult males and one juvenile female.
It seems that the suspects had entered multiple vehicles and removed numerous items.
Most of the items are believed to have been left in the vehicle that the suspects drove to town.
Their vehicle is in police custody and the items will be returned to their owners.
As of 10/11/18 two of the three suspects had been apprehended.
The third suspect, who was the subject of the Nixle alert sent out yesterday, has been identified, but is not yet in custody.
However, it is believed that the suspect at-large is no longer in the St. Marys area.
Finally, search warrants for the suspects phones are pending, and it is believed that their text messages will help determine if others were involved, etc.
Thanks for your cooperation.
