The 2023 sewer main cleaning has been scheduled for 2-13-23 to 2-20-23. The thick yellow lines in the image below shows roughly where the cleaning will be this year. 12-1608. Quarterly report by treasurer. (a) The treasurer of each city of the first or second class shall publish or cause to be published in a newspaper published in such city, or if there is no newspaper published in such city then in a newspaper published in the county in which such city is located and having a general circulation in such city, within 30 days after the quarter ending in March, June, September and December of each year, a statement showing the total amount received into each fund and the total amount expended from each fund and the cash balances of each fund at the beginning and close of each quarter. Such quarterly statement shall show the amount of outstanding registered warrants, temporary notes, bonds and all other obligations and liabilities of the city.

A rumor about the library closing is just that - a rumor - the lease for the building was signed and approved a couple of meetings ago.
On Wednesday, January 4th city staff met with several engineers from BG Consultants to review the status of a number of current/proposed utility projects. On Tuesday, January 10th the city commission had a work session to discuss the various current/proposed utility projects, and an upcoming street repair project. The following items, amongst others, were discussed - with no action taken: 1. Water Well (#7) is in Riverside Park and it may need to be replaced in the next few years. 2. In 2018/2019 the city commission had a water system distribution review performed. That report was re-reviewed by the engineer that drafted it. 3. The recently paid-off sewer plant was discussed and there is a potential need for improvements to be made in order to comply with the State's regulations. 4. The status of the design work for transitioning the Lakeview Lift Station to a gravity-flow line was discussed, along with estimated costs. ![]()

The City of St. Marys is seeking an individual, group, or organization to operate the concession stand(s) in the St. Marys Riverside Park for the 2023 season. Sealed bids will be accepted until noon on February 17th, 2023 for review at the February 21st City Commission meeting.
