the library is closing
A rumor about the library closing is just that - a rumor - the lease for the building was signed and approved a couple of meetings ago.
On Wednesday, January 4th city staff met with several engineers from BG Consultants to review the status of a number of current/proposed utility projects.
On Tuesday, January 10th the city commission had a work session to discuss the various current/proposed utility projects, and an upcoming street repair project.
The following items, amongst others, were discussed - with no action taken:
1. Water Well (#7) is in Riverside Park and it may need to be replaced in the next few years.
2. In 2018/2019 the city commission had a water system distribution review performed. That report was re-reviewed by the engineer that drafted it.
3. The recently paid-off sewer plant was discussed and there is a potential need for improvements to be made in order to comply with the State's regulations.
4. The status of the design work for transitioning the Lakeview Lift Station to a gravity-flow line was discussed, along with estimated costs.
