In recent weeks, SDT Solutions, LLC, a subcontractor for AT&T, has been installing fiber optic cable in parts of the city. Property owners have raised concerns about damaged sidewalks, curbs, and yards, and about where utility marker posts have been placed.
City staff is scheduling a final walk-through of the route with the company. If your property is on the route and you believe the project caused damage, please email [email protected] with:
The walk-through date has not been set. AT&T plans to wait until the entire project, which includes work in other cities, is complete. The City will share the date once it is scheduled. The City of St. Marys will be doing repair work on US-24 (Bertrand Avenue) just east of 1st Street on the eastbound lane resulting in a lane shift. This will start on 9-21-26 at 8:00 a.m. and last for 5 to 7 days. Signage, barricades and cones will be on site to direct the shift in traffic. Also KDOT will be stopping all permitted oversize loads during repairs.
