The button labeled Drinking Water Letter is a copy of what will be in your August 1st utility bill. E-Bill customers have already received their bill. The other tab '2018 KDHE Inspection report' is just that. Please consider switching over to E-Bill.
From time-to-time the city's water system is inspected. Each and every time there is an inspection, there are at least several minor to significant deficiencies identified. Once the city receives the inspection results, it has 30-days to submit a written plan on how it intends to correct the deficiencies. Last year the city failed to submit its written plan within the 30-day window, and as a result was cited for a new significant deficiency - referred to as "Failure to Consult Violation." This significant deficiency comes with a requirement to notify the public of the deficiency within a year. So, in the August 1st utility bill, there will be a notice entitled "Drinking Water Standard Not Met for the City of St. Marys."
