The St. Marys City Commission met on Tuesday, December 7, 2022 for nearly 48-minutes.
The first item on the agenda was the reorganization of the city commission with Matthew Childs appointed as Mayor and Gerard Kleinsmith appointed as the Vice-Mayor.
The next item addressed was the building lease agreement with the Pottawatomie-Wabaunsee regional library. After a few remarks, the building lease agreement was approved as presented for the 2023 calendar. Read on!
Christie Hitch (TriCounty Waste) made a brief appearance seeking feedback on proposed refuse contract renewal - the first/current agreement expires at the end of February 2023. No action taken.
An ordinance was approved that allows short-term house rentals in the R-1, R-2, and R-3 zoning districts. Party on!
After brief discussion, the 2023 employee health insurance renewal was approved. Don't break a leg!

A proposed improvement to the city's electrical distribution was briefly discussed, as was establishing work sessions to catch-up on the status of several projects. Power on!
