City of St. Marys - there is an electrical power outage scheduled (for all customers) to begin at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, 2025, and end no later than 6:00 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025. The goal is to have the power restored within 5-hours. However, please be prepared for an 8-hour outage. In addition, notice of the outage will be sent via Everbridge - the following link (button) provides more information about the city's Everbridge notification options: Project #1 – the replacement of the bridge on Palmer Road requires the city’s electrical distribution lines to be relocated. The work is being done by Par Electrical Contractors, LLC. and cost $60,110. Project #2 – a backup transformer is being added to the city’s existing electrical substation. This project costs $270,000 and the work is being performed by ElectriComm, Inc. The backup transformer will allow the main transformer in the substation to be taken offline for maintenance (or replacement) without a prolonged outage. The picture below is of the outage from September 2012.
